The south district police flashed wireless messages to look for his car. The family reportedly approached senior police officers and even the home ministry. Finally, the special cell disclosed around 11.30 at night – after nine hours of arrest – that he had been arrested by them. The police put the value of a total of 122 grams of cocaine recovered by them at Rs 6 lakh in international market.
