Pune police reported to the Bharatiya Janata Party social media cell as they traveled to Mumbai to arrest Jiten Gazaria.
A case was filed against Jiten Gajaria, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) social media cell, for posting dissenting information about Rashmi Thackeray, wife of Maharashtra chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, and leader of the Nationalist Parliamentary Party (NCP) Sharad Pawar.
Pune police are on their way to Mumbai to arrest him, according to New Agencies.
Earlier this morning, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar said the BJP had insulted the daughter-in-law of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray, who had helped the BJP become a major political figure.
He added that Gajaraia is now a forum on slander against the women of Maharashtra. “Who is Jiten Gazaraia? He went from NCP to BJP like a kangaroo, and today he insulted Maharashtra’s wife, Rashmi Bhabhi.
On 4th January, Gajaria reportedly posted a photo of Rashmi Thackeray with the headline “Marathi Rabri Devi”. After much controversy, he delete the tweet.
