Delhi police arrest app The Bulli Bai developer four suspects arrested ave been held in this case.
21 years old Neeraj Bishnoi, who created the Bulli Bai app on GitHub he is the main conspirator, was arrested by Delhi police Special Cell’s IFSO team in Assam. A total of four people have been arrested so far in this case.
Photos of various Muslim women have been posted in the app without permission for the social media. This incident sparked a great deal of outrage.
Neeraj Bishnoi is a B.Tech student at Vellore Institute of Technology in Bhopal. He is a resident of Assams Digambar Jorhat. Police also confiscated a device designed at his home.
A senior official said Delhi police would arrive at Delhi airport at 3:30 p.m. with the suspects.
Previously, Mumbai police arrested three people, including 18-year-old Shweta Singh, the main culprit in the case.
21 years old Mayank Rawal, was arrested in Uttarakhand early Wednesday and 21 years old engineer Vishal Kumar Jha, was arrested in Bengaluru on Monday.
“You have arrested the wrong person, slumbai police. I am the creator of #BulliBaiApp. Got nothing to do with the two innocents whom u arrested, release them asap,” the user, who goes by the handle @giyu44, said in a tweet.
Hundreds of Muslim women entered the “Bulli Bai” mobile app “auction”, including images taken without permission. The app appears to be a clone of ‘Sully Deal’, which made a similar change last year.
